Clinton scandal, round two

The Clinton family is making headlines again for scandal, but this time Hillary Clinton is being investigated for using a private email account to handle official government business.

Uh oh.

The New York Times reported Monday that Clinton “may have violated federal requirements that officials’ correspondence be retained as part of the agency’s record,” as she did not have a government email account during the time in the State Department.

In total, 55,000 pages of Clinton’s private emails were handed over to the department, as federal law states emails and letters written or received by federal officials are considered government records.

While it is unclear whether the private emails contained encryption or security information, it is clear that this private account has raised suspicion, possibly jeopardizing Clinton’s presidential candidacy.
