CIA Announces New Cyber Unit, CIA University

The CIA is finally coming to the 21st century by developing a cyber espionage unit.

According to the LA Times, “The shift comes after U.S. intelligence was caught off guard by a series of high-profile digital attacks last year, including an assault on computer systems at Sony Pictures linked to North Korea, and an Iranian-launched cyber assault on Las Vegas Sands Corp., the world’s largest casino company.”

Part of the changes in the CIA are to better and revolutionize the department, including how it teaches “spycraft.” There will now be a “CIA University” that train operatives.

Although the change promises more safety for the nation, the article did not say how much it would cost Americans to change the CIA into a pseudo cyber “Agent Cody Banks” movie.
