Llamas and dresses weren’t the only thing going on in the news this Thursday. Marijuana made headlines towards the nation’s capital as it was legalized in the District of Columbia.
The legalization was implemented by Washington DC Mayor Muriel E. Bowser along with 70 percent of the voters from last December. She legalized it despite warnings from Congress, who threatened to sue the city, pull public funding and prosecute city officials.
Just a thought how she may be dealing with that tonight?
Smoking pot in public is still illegal, however, the new law, Initiative 71, allows adults 21 and over to possess, grow, smoke and share marijuana, but not buy or sell it.
Those White House dinners are bound to get more entertaining for the guests with delicious and fun desserts.
